Gluten-Free Molasses Crinkles
Such a wonderful delight and smell!
Ingredients
- ¾ cup shortening
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup molasses
- 315 grams gluten-free flour blend (1 to 1 that includes xanthan gum)
- 2 tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- ¼ tsp ground cloves
Instructions
- Beat the shortening and brown sugar together until blended.
- Add egg and beat until blended.
- Add molasses and beat until blended.
- In a separate bowl, add all dry ingredients together and stir with whisk.
- Then add dry ingredients to mixing bowl containing wet ingredients. Beat until blended.
- Place in refrigerator for 15-30 minutes.
- Using spoon or cookie batter spoon, scoop and roll into balls. Then roll balls into sugar prior to baking. Preheat oven to 350°F and bake for 9-10 for softer cookies or longer if crisper cookies are desired.
